West Wales Car Club's Fundraising:

In February 2009 the club rented an empty shop in Pembroke Dock in order to raise funds for the club.

The club would like to thank each and every one of it's members for their support during the week. In addition it would like to express it's gratitude to the community of Pembroke Dock - not only for visiting the shop and supporting the group but also for their kind donations, which went a long way in keeping the shop nice and full!

Members donated all sorts of bits 'n' pieces to the shop from computer games and periphials to soft toys, games, clothing and books.

The shop was run entirley by volunteers and was a great example of what we can acheive when we work together as a team!

MEMBERS RAISED JUST UNDER £700 IN ONE WEEK!

In November 2009 the shop rented the shop again to raise money towards our Road Safety Awareness-Raising Event in December 2009.

MEMBERS RAISED A FURTHER £335 DURING THE WEEK!

Grants and Awards:

March 2009 - The club was succesful in securing a grant of £100 from the

Milford Haven Port Authority's Community Investment Fund

to help promote the club and define our identity.

May 2009 - The club was awarded £1000 to assist in putting on a

community event.

August 2009 - The club was succesful in gaining a grant for £1200 from PAVS

to help with the purchase of Promotional Materialsm such as

banners.

September 2009 - The club has raised £2000, thus meeting the cost of putting on

a Road Safety themed event to mark the clubs first birthday in December!

as some freshly baked cakes!) to

our Bric-a-Brac shop in February.

refreshents at some of our events.

In April, the club held a raffle to raise money for the Air Ambulance and made £47 to help support this worhwhile charity!

By joining the Lifesaving Lottery you can support their ongoing work and have a chance of winning a cash prize.

The draw is made each Friday.

Each £1 weekly entry entitles you to a unique number.

Numbers are randomly selected by computer.

You must pay in advance by STANDING ORDER, CREDIT CARD OR CHEQUE - only paid up members are entitled in each draw.

You can have as many numbers as you like but all players must be aged 16 or over.
